Bungona Lookout, Royal National Park
Went out to the Royal National Park today to give the new Leica M2 a workout. Lovely weather, and I visited Audley, Bundeena, Jibbon Head and this track - Bungona Lookoout. Shot about five rolls of film - so will upload those results later in the week!

My new toy and old friend. Two superb rangefinders from the fifties and sixties. The M2 has replaced the Leica IIIg - I needed the 35mm viewfinder too much. And it's a beauty.

Another day, another pub
A very productive day today. Off on the bike down to Redfern first up, to start the day with a coffee at Tripod. After a grim-looking start to the day it 'turned out nice again', so I headed off down through Surry Hills and spent a happy morning browsing the bookshops along Oxford St, where I picked up a copy of "Memoirs of a Mountaineer" - the autobiography of one of my favourite explorers and writers, F. Spencer Chapman. He was a derring-do kind of chap from the 1930s who went on an expedition to Lhasa and went on to spend wartime behind Japanese lines in Malaya.
More success at the Op Shop, where I picked up a decent shirt and a great floppy Akubra fedora-style hat for $6 each. A BLT at Anastasia's completed the good morning and then I freewheeled down to the pub in east Sydney, imaginatively called the East Sydney Hotel, where I was able to do a bit of rehydrating, before finally heading down to Mrs Macquarie's Seat to just sit under a tree and watch the world going by on the harbour.
