This old hospital was built in the late 19th century by a Scottish philanthropist. It is now a residential unit for disturbed kids. It's in a beautful unspoilt setting in Concord, on the south side of the Paramatta River, near Concord Hospital. I went there to get over a hangover early last Saturday.

These old fortifications were first built during the Crimean war, I think, and strengthened during the late 19th century, to defend against the Frenchies and Russians. They were further expanded during WW2, and are now abandoned. Still have the best views over Sydney Heads, though.
