Leaving Medical Observer

For my leaving do last Friday, the guys made up a spoof edition of Medical Observer featuring me on the front page story as Superman.

My leaving party

Last Friday I had a farewell lunch at a really nice Indian restauramt in Crow's Nest. Most of the Medical Observer crowd turned out and I was very touched by all the kind words said about me [talented, yes, but unassuming???]

Paul in Gloria Jeans - by digital camera

This was taken with my new digital camera - a Kodak DX7630, bought second hand on ebay of course! It has a Scneider Kreuznach zoom lens. Compare the picture with the one below taken by a 1937 Leica with a 35mm lens.

Sydney University

uni tower, originally uploaded by photosofsydney.

I passed by this way at the weekend, on Saturday afternoon on the way back from Glebe to the station at Redfern. Been doing a bit of Op Shop shopping for stuff I don't need to take to China! Nice historic buildings though.

As with all the other pics here, taken with my Leica IIIa and an Elmar 35mm lens, both from the 1930s.

A walk down this beach on a day like this is better than a bottle full of Prozac. Definitely recharges the batteries.
